Supporting the next generation of creatives with Paul Smith.
Launched in 2020, Paul Smith’s Foundation was set up to ‘give helpful advice to creative people’.
To support this mission, myself and the team at Anyways brought to life PSF Sessions – an event series and social content rollout designed to facilitate meaningful conversations, opportunities, and collaboration amongst young creatives across the UK.
I worked on the creative strategy and art direction of the events – encompassing programming, graphic identity, set design, and social content.

Creating Change was the theme of the events, and we programmed talks, sessions and workshops with some of the most exciting creative minds in the industry.
We made protest flags using Paul Smith deadstock fabric with Adapt, held speed drawing sessions with Alec Doherty, facilitated a panel on sustainability between architect Seyi Adelekun and stylist Isabelle Landicho, and so much more.
The sessions took place in both London and Nottingham, with young people from a range of creative backgrounds across the UK invited to attend.
We commissioned and art directed design studio Cha Chaan Teng to create an identity for the events that felt fresh, playful and tactile, nodding to the visual language of notebooks, sketches and school materials.
To bring the magic PSF Sessions to our audiences at home, we devised a 3-month social content strategy and shared quotes, guides, and Reels on Paul Smith’s Foundation Instagram account. The art direction of the content felt connected to the overall event look and feel – referencing the tactile nature of notebooks and doodles.
“The sessions truly built my confidence to believe in what I am doing. The laughter, the fun, and the knowledge shared by so many clever minds made these sessions a true highlight of my year!”
