YouTube Stories Stickers
Creative strategy and art direction for YouTube Stories Stickers, expressive illustrations used by Creators to enhance their content on YouTube Stories.
Working with illustrators and consultants across Japan, South Korea, India, Brazil, and Egypt, we crafted culturally relevant designs rooted in regional YouTube trends while maintaining a cohesive brand visual language.
My Role: Strategy and creative research to understand each region and how they communicate, in collaboration with local consultants. Sourcing and art directing artists across the globe to deliver a suite of over 60 illustrations.

YouTube Emotes
Creative strategy and art direction for YouTube Emotes. Emotes are essentially like emojis, used across YouTube in the comment section and Live Chat by over 1 billion people.
YouTube came to us to develop the first set of Emotes for their platform, covering themes such as Gaming, Sports and LGBTQIA+ Pride.
My Role: Strategy and creative research to understand each online subculture and how they communicate. Commissioned and directed artists from around the world to craft expressive characters that reflected the breadth of responses seen in comment sections (from wholesome to chaotic to supportive to niche). I ensured each one felt emotionally resonant, inclusive, true to YouTube’s brand voice and legible at a small on-screen size.
